There’s more weightlifting out there than ever before. If you’ve already heard this week’s podcast, you know we want to shout-out content creators that deserve more love than they’re getting.

Our Favorite Weightlifting Channels

@SomeSeriousWeight covers weightlifting industry and athlete news on YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit. Sometimes it’s funny, sometimes serious, but always with a fresh perspective.

@SleepyLifts makes weightlifting video essays on YouTube. Some are educational, others artistic. Nicklas is also a nationally-competitive weightlifter in Germany, with bests around 130/160 at 94KG.

@VintageLifts is hard to beat for in-depth historical content. Thomas recently did a documentary on Ilya Ilyin’s career, including an extended interview with Ilya, who revealed his original career goal was to sweep Olympic golds in 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024.

@AdrenalineFederation has some great video essays on YouTube covering topics from discipline, to tracking training, through to more motivational compilations.

@BougieWeightlifting showcases more weightlifting history that “fell through the cracks”—medal-winning footage from old competitions, unseen training content from former superstars, and more.

@WeLiftWeights operates independently within Team Japan. They post team training content and local/national competition footage, particularly of the next generation of Japanese weightlifting talent.

Don't forget: We've got piles of exclusive backroom footage, training highlights, and athlete documentaries on WLHOUSE TV—and we're uploading more weekly.
