A world record party!
What a week of training. Two jerk world records, one total world record 🚀
- Antonino Pizzolato (ITA-89) jerked 230kg from the blocks last week. That’s 13kg over his 2022 clean and jerk world record of 217kg, a weight which has since risen to 223kg.Â
- Rizki Juniansyah (INA -73), the new world no.1, hinted at a 221kg split jerk with a photo of him holding the weight overhead. That lift is 17kg above his rival/teammate’s Rahmat Abdullah’s (his rival/teammate) world record clean and jerk of 204kg. When we asked him about the knee sleeves (he’s wearing the new 7mm Heavy Duty Knee Sleeves) he told us ‘I just really like them for cleans and jerks!’.
- He also snatched 165kg but swiftly deleted the video. Here’s our video of his 160kg snatch session.
- Karlos Nasar, who turned 20 a few weeks ago, was seen making a 180kg snatch and a 220kg clean & jerk in the same session. Together this 400kg total is 4kg over the world record total held by Li Dayin, the weight Karlos equalled in April at the IWF World Cup. The lifts were posted to instagram story and so disappeared 24 hours later.Â
- The craziest muscle snatch you’ll see this year!
