Championships Season has come and gone, but the World Weightlifting Championships is still two months away.
Mid-late summer is often a bit of a lull for the sport, but there are still competitions happening.
Competitions Until the World Weightlifting Championships
Asian Youth & Juniors
This event wrapped up a little over a week ago. Day-to-day results are available on the Asian Weightlifting Federation's homepage.
European Youths
This event finished yesterday. You can download daily results here or watch the live streams here.
XX Mediterranean Games
This Games event is currently underway in Taranto, Italy. Weightlifting events take place Aug. 31 - Sep. 2.
Beyond Team Italy going big on their home soil, the Mediterranean Games are open to weightlifters from 25 other countries, including Egypt, France, Spain, and Turkey.
FISU World University Champs (Sep. 8 - 12)
This is a multi-sport event for University students worldwide. Weightlifting has been held here since 2008.
XIII South American Games (Sep. 13 - 17)
This Games event is open to weightlifters from 15 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela.
Asian Games (Sep. 19 - Oct. 4)
Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, serves as a skirmishing ground for the best weightlifters in Asia one month before the World Champs. China and North Korea are both sending teams.

African | Oct. 5 - 13
European | Oct. 12 - 19
