Men's Senior Weightlifting World Records

These are the current Men's weightlifting world records in the snatch, clean & jerk, and total, which is the sum of an athlete's best result in each discipline at a single competition.

For an athlete to officially claim a world record, he must lift at least one kilogram more than the "world standard"—a benchmark set by the IWF when new categories are established.

You can find the Women's world records here.
